Co-Founder & Managing Director
Moitshepi Matsheng is the Co-Founder & Managing Director of Youth Impact Organisation, a youth-led movement reaching 200,000 + young people in 10 countries. Youth Impact's mission is to scale high-impact health and education programs. She is a social innovator focused on bringing evidence based education programs to be institutionalised in government systems. Moitshepi is the Chairperson of the Botswana National Youth Council, a position she has held since 2019. She is also a board member of D-Prize, an organisation that provides seed funding to new ventures that distribute proven poverty interventions. She graduated with an LLB from the University of Botswana. Moitshepi is the first Motswana to receive the Queen’s Young Leaders Award in 2016 and is an Obama Leader for Africa 2019.
Noam
Angrist
Co-Founder & Executive Director
Noam Angrist is a co-founder of Youth Impact, one of the largest NGOs dedicated to scaling-up health and education programs backed by rigorous randomized trial evidence. Headquartered in Botswana, the organization has scaled evidence-based programs to over 200,000+ youth across ten countries. Angrist is also the Academic Director of the What Works Hub for Global Education at the University of Oxford. He has published in leading academic journals including Nature, Nature Human Behaviour, and the Journal of Economic Perspectives. Angrist has consulted for the World Bank Chief Economist and co-developed the World Bank Human Capital Index education pillar. Angrist also led the academic research underpinning a series of flagship reports of the Global Education Evidence Advisory Panel, providing recommendations on cost-effective approaches to improve learning outcomes in low- and middle-income countries. Angrist was a Fulbright and Rhodes scholar and has a B.S. in Mathematics and Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a PhD from the University of Oxford.
